The installation process of railway spikes directly affects their fixing effect and the overall quality of the track. When installing ordinary spikes, first you need to accurately mark the installation position of the spikes on the sleepers, and then use a special nailing tool, such as a spike hammer or a nailing machine, to drive the spikes vertically into the sleepers. During the nailing process, the force and angle must be controlled to ensure that the spikes can be firmly fixed in the sleepers without causing excessive damage to the sleepers.
For the installation of spiral spikes, generally holes are drilled on the sleepers first, and then the spiral spikes are screwed into the holes, and the nuts are tightened with a torque wrench according to the specified torque to ensure that the tightening force of the spikes meets the requirements. When installing spring spikes, in addition to ensuring the correct installation position of the spikes, the compression of the springs needs to be adjusted so that they can play a good buffering role when the train is running.
