Railroad spike, or called track spike, is a large nail with an offset head that is used to secure steel rails and base plates to railway sleepers in the track.
Generally speaking, railroad spikes have various shapes serving for different functions, such as dog spike, screw spike, Ss series sleeper screw, square head screw spike, hexagon screw spike, double-head screw spike and so on.
Among these various railroad spikes, dog spikes and screw spikes are the most two common types.
The material for railroad spikes production can be carbon steel or stainless steel based on different requirements. According to customers' needs, the surface of the spikes can be plain, black, hot dipped galvanized, or sherardized.
