Hook bolts are usually drilled in pairs, positioned four inches apart, every two feet. By default, unless stated otherwise, the holes are drilled 1/8 inch larger than the diameter of the hook bolt. The spacing of these holes adheres to the specifications outlined in the table below. It's noteworthy that the diameter of the hook bolts typically matches that of the splice bars, and the hole elevation is the same as that for splice bar holes. This drilling pattern ensures proper alignment and secure attachment in rail installation.
