Common specifications and size table
Rails are the main components of railway tracks. Their function is to guide the wheels of locomotives and vehicles forward, bear the huge pressure of the wheels, and transmit it to the sleepers. Rails must provide a continuous, smooth and least resistant rolling surface for the wheels. In electrified railways or automatic block sections, rails can also serve as track circuits.
The type of rail is expressed in kilograms per meter of rail. The rails used on Chinese railways include 75kg/m, 60kg/m, 50kg/m, 43kg/m and 38kg/m.The cross-sectional shape of the rail adopts an I-shaped cross-section with the best bending resistance, consisting of three parts: the rail head, the rail waist and the rail bottom. In order to enable the rail to better withstand forces from all sides and ensure the necessary strength conditions, the rail should be of sufficient height, its head and bottom should have sufficient area and height, and the waist and bottom should not be too thin.

Track steel is widely used in the field of railways and rail transportation. First, it is used for laying railway trackbeds. The track steel and the trackbed are fixed by a protective layer to ensure the stability and safety of the rails. Secondly, it is used for fixing after track laying, which can effectively disperse the load of the wheels on the track and reduce structural stress and damage.
Track steel can also be used in the construction of tram lines to ensure the smooth operation of trams and the safety of passengers. In addition, it is also widely used in the construction of port terminals to ensure the safe loading and unloading and transportation of goods.
