Among physical characteristics, the synergistic effect of tensile strength (≥12.5 MPa) and elongation at break (≥250%) allows the pads to accommodate longitudinal displacement from rail thermal expansion/contraction. Environmental adaptability parameters include: >85% impact strength retention after -40°C brittle temperature tests, >80% tensile strength retention after 336 hours of thermal oxidative aging at 150°C, and no micro-crack formation after 1000 hours of continuous exposure to 50 pphm ozone concentration.
