Technical requirements and specifications for installation of crane rails
Crane rails are divided into light rails (P-type) and heavy rails (QU type). The small and medium tonnage cranes use P-type railway rails for their small cars, and the large tonnage gantry cranes use OU type crane specific rails or square rails for their small or large cars.
Before installing the track, inspect the steel rails, bolts, clamps, etc. If there are cracks, corrosion, or non-compliance, they should be replaced immediately. For steel rails that are allowed to be repaired, wear defects should not exceed 3mm on both the surface and side of the rail, and the rail should be used after repair is completed.

The track pad iron should be in close contact with the track and the main beam of the crane. Each level of pad iron should not exceed 20 pieces, with a length greater than 100mm and a width 10-20mm wider than the bottom of the track. The distance between two sets of pad blocks should not exceed 200mm; The pad iron is firmly connected to the main beam of the steel crane, and the actual contact area between the pad iron and the track section is not less than 60% of the nominal contact area, with a local gap of no more than 1mm.

The rail joint can be made into a direct head or a 45 ° angled diagonal joint. The diagonal joint can ensure a smooth transition of the wheel at the joint, and the gap of the joint is generally 1-2mm. When the temperature during winter construction or installation in cold regions is lower than the temperature used year-round, and the difference is more than 20 ℃, temperature gaps should be considered, generally between 4-6mm. The joint of the two steel rails at the joint should be staggered by more than 500mm. A stop plate should be installed at the end of the track to prevent the crane from derailing from both ends. The deviation between the actual centerline of the track and the geometric centerline of the track should not exceed 3mm, and the allowable deviation of the track gauge for gantry suspension bridge cranes is ± 5mm; The longitudinal inclination of the track is 1/1500; The allowable deviation of the relative elevation between two tracks is 10mm.
