Introduction to 22kg rails
22kg steel rail steel is a common railway track material. Its main features are light weight, excellent wear resistance, deformation resistance and stability. Light rail is mainly used to lay temporary transportation lines and light locomotive lines in forest areas, mining areas, factories and construction sites. For the parameters of 22kg rail steel, we need to have a detailed understanding of its specifications, materials, mechanical properties and production processes.
The materials of 22kg rail steel mainly include Q235B carbon steel, 55q, manganese steel, silicon manganese steel and aluminum titanium steel. Among them, carbon steel is the most basic material, manganese steel has good hardness and toughness, silicon manganese steel has higher hardness and elastic modulus, and aluminum titanium steel has higher strength and toughness due to the addition of aluminum and titanium elements.

The mechanical properties of 22kg rail steel refer to its performance in load, wear, deformation and other aspects. Through testing, it can be seen that its tensile strength is ≥440MPa, yield strength is ≥275MPa, and elongation is ≥20%; in the bending test, its bending angle is ≥45°; in the wear test, its wear amount is ≤0.2mm.
The production of 22kg rail steel uses the rolling process, which uses a top-type flip conveyor to send it to the preheating furnace, and heats the billet to the required temperature through multiple processes such as heating and insulation. After that, the billet enters the rolling mill for rolling, and after rolling, it is cooled, sized and processed to finally form 22kg rail steel.
