Railway spikes (also known as track spikes) are large nail-type fasteners with a slightly eccentric head design, mainly used to firmly connect the base plate between the rail and the sleeper. Depending on the specific application scenario, there are various types of spikes, including dog spikes, spiral nails, SS series sleeper screws, square head spiral nails, hexagonal head screws, and stud screws. Among them, dog spikes and spiral nails are widely used in railway construction due to their structural stability and installation convenience, and are the two most common forms.
In order to meet the requirements of different track systems, the production materials of the railway spikes can be carbon steel or stainless steel. In terms of surface treatment, a variety of options can also be provided according to customer needs, such as smooth surface treatment, blackening treatment, hot-dip galvanizing or zinc infiltration process, etc., to improve the corrosion resistance and service life of the product.
