Rail spikes, in English, are a kind of metal fastening device, which is specially used to firmly fix the rails on the sleepers (also called sleepers). In the past, common rail spikes looked like a thick nail, and the nail head was square or round. In the actual installation process, the spikes are usually driven into the sleepers made of wood or other materials with the help of tools to achieve tight compression and fixation of the rails.
