Railroad spikes are an important railway accessory used to fix rails to sleepers (such as wooden sleepers, concrete sleepers or steel sleepers) to ensure the stability and safety of the track system during high-speed train operation. Although it looks simple, it actually bears a huge mechanical effect - when the train passes, the spikes have to withstand multiple forces from vertical, lateral and vibration, and continue to keep the track position from shifting.
