Products Description
The manufacturing process of Chinese standard railway steel rails is a highly specialized and industrialized procedure. The main processes include steel billet smelting, continuous casting, hot rolling forming, cooling treatment, straightening, cutting, drilling, and inspection. First, raw materials are smelted into high-quality molten steel in a converter or electric furnace. Then, the molten steel is formed into steel billets in a continuous casting machine. After being heated to an appropriate temperature in a reheating furnace, the billets are fed into a rolling mill for multiple passes of hot rolling, gradually taking the shape of the standard rail cross-section.

After rolling, the rails undergo controlled cooling to ensure a uniform internal structure and moderate hardness. Following the cooling process, straightening is carried out to guarantee the precision of the rail shape and length consistency. Finally, rigorous inspections are conducted, including ultrasonic flaw detection, dimensional measurement, and chemical composition analysis, to ensure that each rail meets national standards. Some high-end rails also undergo surface quenching or induction quenching to enhance wear resistance and extend service life.
