Comparison of the compatibility between national standard rails and international standard rails
With the widespread application of Chinese rail products in the international market, more and more customers are concerned about the compatibility between national standard rails and international standards. National standard rails have certain differences from some international standards in terms of size structure, weight parameters and material classification, but they also have strong substitutability and versatility.
Taking GB60kg rails as an example, its unit weight is about 60.64kg/m, and its appearance is close to the European UIC60 rail type, but the rail head and rail bottom dimensions are slightly different. In actual applications, some international customers will make GB rails compatible with their existing lines through rail pads and fastener systems.
In terms of materials, U71Mn, U75V, etc. commonly used in national standard rails are also similar to the hot-rolled carbon manganese steel in UIC860 and AREMA specifications, meeting the strength, toughness and wear resistance requirements of most industrial and transportation projects.
In order to better serve overseas customers, domestic rail manufacturers have the ability to customize rail types on demand. They can adjust the rail head width, rail bottom structure, length specifications, etc. according to customer needs, improve adaptability, reduce the cost of customers replacing track systems, and expand the application space of national standard rails in the global market.
