Rail elastic clip is used to fasten the rails to the underlying base plate together with the concrete sleeper. Usually rail clips are made of forged spring steel which is produced by hot forging process. Because of the uniform micro-structure of forged clips, it is considered to be better than other metal forming process.

Deenik clips are made of 60Si2MnA, 55Si7 or equivalent round or square steel. The specific shape design enables it to deform elastically after installation, thereby generating buckle pressure to act on the rails, preventing the longitudinal and lateral displacement of the rails relative to the sleepers. This elastic design helps to reduce fatigue and wear of track components.
