China's first fully automated railway rail production line is put into use, improving rail production efficiency
April 28, 2025, Beijing-China's first fully automated railway rail production line was officially put into use in Taiyuan, Shanxi a few days ago. The commissioning of this production line marks a major breakthrough in my country's railway rail production technology, which will greatly improve the production efficiency and quality of rails.
The automated production line put into use this time was jointly developed by China Railway Corporation and Taiyuan Iron and Steel Company. Its main feature is the full automation of production, covering multiple links such as hot rolling, cooling, cutting, and testing of rails. With the support of this production line, the production process of rails is more efficient and stable, and the rails produced meet international advanced standards, especially in terms of dimensional accuracy, surface quality and material strength of rails.
The technological innovation of the automated production line is mainly reflected in the application of intelligent detection and real-time monitoring systems. The production line is equipped with multiple high-precision sensors and machine vision detection systems, which can monitor each rail in the production process in real time to ensure that each rail meets the standard requirements. If any deviation occurs during the production process, the system will immediately issue an alarm and adjust the production parameters in time to ensure production quality.
