Tunnel segment bolt overview

The tunnel segment bolt features a straight or certain radian shape, serving to connect and tighten multiple segment pieces. Segment bolts include double-ended straight and arc-shaped varieties, such as hexagon head arc segment bolts, hexagon head arc thread segment bolts, hexagonal flange surface arc thread segment bolts, and non-standard segment bolts. Grades range from 5.8 to 8.8, with corresponding materials like Q235, 45#, 40Cr, etc., and the surface treatment involves galvanization.

Tunnel segment bolt application

The segment bolt is mainly used in subway construction for applications like subway shields, pipeline segment connections, shallow-buried longitudinal segment bolts, building segment connections, and subway segment connections. These bolts connect segments to create cylindrical pipelines underground, playing a crucial role in securing and tightening. The humid environment poses a risk of corrosion and rust, making effective surface treatment essential. Proper anti-corrosion measures ensure a longer lifespan for both bolts and pipes. Inadequate measures may lead to rust, corroding the bolt's interior and impacting its mechanical properties and tensile strength. A thicker hot-dip galvanized layer enhances corrosion resistance, providing stronger protection.
