The SKL Clip is a precision-engineered omega-shaped (Ω) tension clamp that functions as the elastic fastening element in modern railway track systems, manufactured from high-grade spring steel alloys including 60Si2CrA, 60Si2MnA, and 38Si7 with carbon content of 0.54–0.64% for optimal spring properties . These clips achieve through-hardness of 42–47 HRC via oil quenching and tempering at 420–480°C, delivering tensile strength of 1,400–1,700 MPa and yield strength exceeding 1,100 MPa depending on alloy selection .
