Steel track are an important part of the railway transportation system.Light rails are commonly used in light transportation scenarios such as industry, mining areas, and narrow-gauge railways; while heavy rails are mainly used in trunk railways, urban railways, and heavy-load railways, and have stronger bearing capacity and fatigue resistance.
U71Mn and U75V commonly used in national standard rails QU80 are also similar in performance to hot-rolled carbon manganese steel in UIC860 and AREMA specifications, meeting the wear resistance and strength requirements of most industrial and transportation projects.
The size proportions of various parts of different types of rails are slightly different, and the selection needs to be considered comprehensively based on the actual working conditions.
How are rails inspected?
Our steel track have passed the size inspection, using the gauge, electronic laser detector, etc. to inspect the rail shape; at the same time, the Brinell hardness tester is used to test the surface hardness of the rails. The rails have also passed the ultrasonic flaw detection.
The national standard rail QU80 is generally made of high-quality carbon steel or low-alloy steel, and the material codes are mainly U71Mn, U75V, etc.
