Sleepers, also known as railroad sleepers or road sleepers, are one of the components of railway tracks. They are directly connected to the bottom of the rails and can stabilize the position of the rails to prevent the rails from shifting and causing danger when the train passes. They can also evenly distribute the pressure generated by the passing train on the ballast, making the train run more stable.
