Do you know the process of road spike production?
1. Raw material preparation
The main raw material of road spikes is low-carbon steel wire, which uses national standard Q195 or Q235 steel, and its tensile strength is generally between 340MPa and 400MPa. In addition, road spike manufacturing also requires some auxiliary materials, such as aluminum sheet, epoxy resin, etc.
2. Extrusion
Extrusion is a key step in road spike production, which is usually carried out by electric press or hydraulic press. First, pour the steel wire into the feed port of the extruder and press it into a shape suitable for road spikes through a mold. During the extrusion process, geometric structures such as teeth or anti-slip bumps need to be set to ensure the firmness and stability of the road spikes on the road.
3. Cutting
After the shape of the road spike is pressed, it needs to be cut to meet the needs of different roads. Rotary cutting or shear cutting is usually used to meet the requirements of road spikes of different lengths and shapes.
4. Riveting
The riveting of road spikes is the guarantee of their stability and durability. It requires the use of aluminum sheets or other suitable materials to firmly connect the road spikes to the road surface. In addition, the riveting also requires epoxy resin coating treatment to improve the rust resistance of the road spikes.
5. Surface treatment
Surface treatment is the last step in the production of road spikes. The purpose is to enhance the surface hardness and durability of the
road spikes and beautify the appearance. It is usually treated by sandblasting, electroplating, etc. to meet the needs of different customers.
In short, the road spike production process needs to go through multiple links, including raw material preparation, extrusion, cutting, riveting and surface treatment, etc. Each step requires strict control and quality inspection to ensure the quality and stability of the road spikes.
