How are railway elastic clips packaged and shipped?

Rail clip, or called elastic rail clip, is used to fasten steel rails to the underlying tie plate. Through bending and distortion, rail clip can put pressure on the rail, which prevents longitudinal movement of the rail, either from changes in temperature or through vibration.

The packaging and shipping of rail elastic clips employ a systematic and professional approach to ensure full protection from the factory to the construction site.

The standard packaging process begins with strict anti-rust treatment; all clips are coated with anti-rust oil and vacuum-sealed before packaging. Each box typically has a net weight controlled within 25 kg, using high-strength double-layer corrugated cardboard for the outer box, with internal segmented compartments to prevent mutual collision during transit. For long-distance transport such as sea freight, the cartons are additionally wrapped in waterproof plastic film with desiccant placed inside to handle high-humidity environments.

Differentiated packaging strategies are adopted based on the transport mode. For less-than-container load (LCL) shipments, palletized packaging is used, with each pallet loaded with 1-1.5 tons of products, secured with PET strapping in a cross pattern and reinforced with protective edge boards. Container transport utilizes a modular stacking plan; an 20-foot standard container can hold 18-20 tons of clips, with stacking layers precisely calculated to prevent container deformation during transit.
