Concrete Sleeper components for one rail seat consists of the following: a tie pad, two insulators and two e-series clips.
For concrete sleepers, each rail seat includes a rail pad, two insulators, and two E-series clips (such as e-2055). The shoulders are pre-embedded in the sleeper. Installation starts by placing the pad on the clean rail seat, then positioning the rail. After tamping, insulators are fitted on both sides of the rail base. The E-clip is driven from the shoulder side until there is about a 3/8" gap between the shoulder and the clip's rear arch. E-clips can be installed manually or with mechanical tools.A.
For steel sleepers, a Deep Post insulator is often used. It must fit securely into the pad recess and extend below the rail base, resting on the membrane. Care must be taken not to mix Deep Post insulators with standard rail pads, as this may cause instability.
The E-clip fastening system ensures strong rail clamping, good insulation, and long-term stability on both concrete and steel sleepers.
