concrete railway sleeper
Concrete sleepers, also known as prestressed concrete sleepers. The main types of sleepers used on railways are Type II and New Type II. Concrete sleepers are much more durable and cost-effective than wooden ones, making them the primary choice for most modern railways. Concrete sleepers are widely used on railways for their consistent quality, elasticity, good insulation, and ability to withstand weather and temperature changes. Their corrosion resistance and long lifespan make them even more appealing.
GNEE Rail is a trusted and professional manufacturer specializing in high-quality railway components. As a leading producer of railway sleepers in China, we primarily offer composite sleepers, concrete sleepers, and turnout sleepers. We also provide custom production based on your drawings. xII concrete railway sleeper dimensions
In 1937, the International Railway Association established 1435mm as the standard gauge, which is also called the "normal gauge" (4 feet 8½ inches in imperial terms). Today, approximately 60% of global railways use this gauge, including China's standard gauge. The New Type II concrete sleeper that we GNEE rail offered has a length of 2500mm, with a bottom cross-sectional height of 205mm and a middle cross-sectional height of 175mm. It has a maximum width of 306.5mm and weighs 283kg. Additionally, it offers a static crack resistance strength of ≥170kN.
