The Difference
1.Weight per meter
Light rail: rails with a weight of less than 30 kilograms per meter, such as 38kg/m and 43kg/m.
Heavy duty rails: rails with a weight greater than 60 kilograms per meter, such as 60kg/m, 75kg/m, etc.

2.Applicable scenarios
Light rail: mainly used for low capacity lines, ordinary lines, and lines with medium load-bearing capacity. They are suitable for scenarios that require lower carrying capacity,
Temporary transportation routes and light locomotive lines in areas such as forests, mining areas, factories, and construction sites.
Heavy duty steel rails: suitable for high-speed railways, heavy-duty railways, and high-speed railways with large axle loads. Due to its ability to withstand greater impact forces, heavy-duty steel rails are suitable for scenarios with high driving speeds and heavy train weights.

3.Material and Performance
Lightweight steel rail: usually made of Q235B material, suitable for general use without special requirements.
Heavy duty rails: Materials may include materials with higher strength and wear resistance, such as 55Q rails, suitable for scenarios requiring high strength and wear resistance.
