Industry knowledge

Railway spikes are widely used in railway systems in different countries and regions, but due to different track structures, rail specifications, and sleeper materials, the specific selection and installation methods are also different.

In Chinese standards, commonly used screw spike specifications include M22, M24, etc., which are commonly used with spring clip fasteners and concrete sleepers. In some countries, more sophisticated British screw spikes are also used, or customized production is carried out according to different rail sizes.

Specific application scenarios:

In high-speed rail lines, rail spikes are mostly used with pre-embedded threaded sleeves on sleepers to ensure the safety and stability of the track system under high-speed operation; in special terrain railways such as mining areas and mountainous areas, spikes need to have stronger corrosion resistance and impact resistance.

The load level of different lines also directly affects the selection of spikes: heavy-duty railways require spikes to have higher tensile and shear resistance; urban rail transit pays more attention to the low noise and anti-loosening performance of the product. Therefore, when purchasing, railway engineering units should make reasonable selections based on specific project conditions, line design, and environmental conditions to achieve the optimal configuration of spike performance and maximize economic benefits.
