The installation of railway screw spikes is different from that of traditional straight spikes. Special equipment such as electric screw machines, hydraulic wrenches or high-precision torque tools are required for screw-in installation. This method can ensure a strong mechanical connection between the spike and the casing or sleeper, thereby effectively improving the overall stability of the track structure.

During the construction process, the installation torque must be strictly controlled to ensure that each railway spike is evenly stressed to avoid loosening due to insufficient torque or thread damage due to excessive torque. In some high-frequency or heavy-loaded railway lines, the spikes need to be tightened twice after installation to ensure the continued stability of the connection.

In daily railway maintenance, staff need to regularly check whether the screw spikes are loose, broken, rusted or unstable. For spikes that have already had problems, they should be replaced or reinforced in time to prevent further damage to the sleepers or affect the stability of the rails.

The correct installation and maintenance process can not only extend the service life of the spikes themselves, but also reduce the maintenance frequency and operating costs of the entire line.
