Quality control and inspection of threaded spikes

In the production process, quality control is the key link to ensure product quality. Manufacturers need to establish a complete quality management system to strictly monitor and inspect each link. Specifically, the quality of the spikes can be comprehensively evaluated by means of chemical composition analysis, metallographic structure observation, mechanical properties testing, etc. At the same time, unqualified products need to be handled and traced in a timely manner to avoid potential safety hazards.

Spiral spikes are a key material for fixing railway tracks with good durability and stability. Its production process usually includes cutting, wire drawing, drilling, carburizing and cold heading.

Cold heading is an indispensable step in the production of spiral spikes. The heated steel wire material is cold-pressed in the mold for multiple times to maintain its strength and stability. The spiral spikes after cold heading have a smooth surface, high dimensional accuracy and uniform strength.

Common detection methods

1. Metallographic detection

Metallographic detection is one of the commonly used detection methods in the production of spiral spikes. It mainly determines its quality

by observing the metallographic structure and components of the material under a microscope. Metallographic testing can detect internal defects, foreign matter inclusions, and uniformity of the spiral spikes.

2. Hardness test

Hardness test is to measure the hardness of the material through a hardness tester to determine its quality and performance. In the production process of spiral spikes, hardness test can be used to detect the uniformity and strength of the material.

3. Tensile test

Tensile test is a method to test the performance of a material under tensile force. In the production of spiral spikes, tensile test can detect performance indicators such as strength, ductility and elasticity of the material.

Taking the 24*195 model spiral spike as an example, its production process is basically the same as the above content. However, in the specific processing process, it is necessary to make corresponding adjustments according to the size characteristics and performance requirements of the model.

For example, in the forging or hot rolling forming process, it is necessary to accurately control parameters such as spiral diameter and pitch; in the heat treatment process, it is necessary to formulate reasonable process parameters such as quenching temperature and tempering temperature; in the surface treatment process, the galvanized layer thickness or spray color suitable for this model can be selected. The control of these details helps to improve the product quality and market competitiveness of the 24*195 model spiral spike.
