What is the difference between a crane rail and a monorail?
A crane rail (or overhead crane) moves loads in X, Y, and Z axes (length, width, height) using two parallel rails for a rectangular coverage, handling heavy loads. A monorail uses a single rail, moving loads in one linear path (X/Y axis) for repetitive, point-to-point transfers, ideal for lighter materials and fixed production lines, keeping floors clear without full area coverage.
Crane Rail (Overhead Crane)
- Movement: Full X, Y, Z axis (length, width, height) for rectangular coverage.
- Structure: Two parallel runway beams with a bridge (or trolley) moving across them.
- Capacity: Higher lifting capacities, built for heavier loads and bigger areas.

Monorail (Monorail Crane)
