Analysis of the material standards and performance advantages of railway threaded spikes - taking 35K steel as an example
Recently, our company exported a batch of railway spikes made of 35k steel as raw material.

Railway spikes are key fasteners connecting rails and sleepers. The material selection is directly related to the safety and durability of the track system. In practical applications, 35K grade carbon steel is a high-quality material widely used in the manufacture of spikes, and its performance is particularly outstanding.
35K steel belongs to the category of medium carbon steel, with good strength, hardness and weldability, and is particularly suitable for bearing repeated vibrations and dynamic loads. In the railway laying environment, the railway spikes must resist the repeated impact caused by train loads and the friction deformation of the wood or composite materials of the sleepers for a long time, while 35K steel can achieve higher mechanical properties after heat treatment, extending the service life of the railway spikes.

In addition, 35K material is compatible with a variety of surface treatment methods such as hot-dip galvanizing, Dacromet, and electrogalvanizing. The anti-corrosion layer can be flexibly adapted according to the climate and soil conditions of the exporting country to enhance the anti-oxidation ability of the spikes. For example, in tropical humid, saline-alkali areas or coastal track systems, the surface anti-corrosion process has a direct impact on the life of the spikes.
