Structural Specifications and Usage Scenarios of Railway Threaded Spikes - Taking 23×105mm as an Example
Our company recently exported a batch of threaded spikes.

The size specifications of railway spikes directly determine their applicable scenarios and installation effects. Taking the 23×105mm specification in the current export order as an example, this is a universal railway threaded spike used in a variety of track gauges and sleeper types. It has strong adaptability and is widely used in wooden sleeper tracks or mixed sleeper structure systems.
Among them, 23mm represents the thread diameter of the spike, which can ensure sufficient grip during installation to prevent loosening due to train vibration; and the 105mm length ensures that it penetrates the inside of the sleeper to achieve stable anchoring. This specification is frequently used in light rail, industrial railway and forestry rail projects in Europe, America, Southeast Asia and Central Asian countries.

In addition, the thread design is also a major advantage of this type of spike. Compared with traditional bare rod spikes, threaded spikes can be fixed by mechanical screwing during construction, which is more efficient to install and has significantly improved pull-out resistance. Especially in rail sections that often require maintenance, the threaded design facilitates repeated disassembly and assembly and is not easy to damage sleepers.
From an engineering perspective, the proper selection of spike size is not only related to the bearing capacity of the track structure, but also affects the track gauge stability and train running stability. Therefore, mastering the application characteristics of various spike specifications is a key link that railway design units, construction parties, and foreign trade purchasers pay attention to.
